The roulette wheel is round and consists of thirty seven numbered slots and one zero. Each person buys special chips that can be used only at the roulette table. These have different colors in order to differentiate between the players. At the end of the game, you may exchange your chips for ordinary casino chips that can be cashed in at the clerk's desk.To make your bet you must place the chips on the table layout according to the bet you wish to place, and then the dealer spins the wheel. Shortly before the roulette wheel stops the dealer announces “no more bets” and then no more bets are allowed to be placed.

輪盤共有三十八個間隔，每個間隔上有各自獨特的號碼及顏色。這游戲將以根據小球停留在滾動中的輪鈾間隔上的結果而定。在進行輪盤游戲時，荷官會在每一局游戲開始接受投注時通知玩家“請下注”，這個時候玩家們就會開始以籌碼開始下注或把現金放在賭桌上要求兌換成籌碼，荷官便會依照該現金兌換成相等於您所指定的顏色籌碼。每個玩家都有屬於自己的一種顏色籌碼。如果玩家不方便放置籌碼在想要進行下注的位置，玩家可以把籌碼放置在中間然後通知荷官您想要進行投注的號碼。當所有玩家投注後，荷官就會開始轉動輪盤並放出一個小球，稍後荷官會提示“停止接受投注”。
